implementation plan

Implementation Plan and Schedule

a. Implementation Team:
At St. Marks:
- Kathy Volturo-Nicely: (High school Science Teacher: Physical Science- 4 years experience, Biology- 1 year experience, Chemistry- 2 years experience, Anatomy/Physiology- 1 year experience) kvolturo@stmarkshs.net

b. Project Implementation Plan Including those Responsible:
Equipment purchase and installation
Kathy: Equipment is already purchased and installed on computers and teachers laptops (Linda Fischer and Technology Department).

Testing
Kathy: Systems have been tested and are functioning properly. Retest would be done again over the summer along with other tech checks to ensure everything is in working order for the start of the next school year (Linda Fischer and Technology Department).

Training
Kathy: Training will be provided by someone in the school with experience with the Flip Video Cameras. Free training videos/demonstrations are available online (Richard Houtz).

Evaluation
Kathy: Evaluation will be done throughout the year as teachers within the committee use the Flip Video Cameras. They will provide feedback and communicate ideas with each other to evaluate the usage and success of the cameras (Kathy Volturo-Nicely)


c. Schedule for Implementation Plan:

Richard Houtz, our program specialist, will do initial at school training. Any additional training teachers need can be scheduled during free periods or after school with Richard. Follow up meetings are for those within the committee to meet, ask questions, and discuss ideas for Flip Video Camera usage. Evaluations will also be discussed as teachers implement them within their lessons.


d. Organize Steering Committee:
Kathy: The steering committee will be in contact with all the members in the technology committee. They will review our findings and help to initiate an all school invitation to Flip Video Camera training after our year long testing of the initiative is complete. Members include:

e. Communicate with Professional Technology Committee:
Kathy: Meetings with the technology committee is listed within our documented meetings as well as on our blog.

  1. i talked to my st. mark's crew, and they like the idea of meeting once a month for like an hour to get together and share ideas and any stories or success/failure.

    jenn really liked the idea of only having one training day and if we wanted to needed more we could schedule it on our own.
